The Covid-19 pandemic has made the world almost come to a standstill. However, it has given rise to a new work culture in every sector. The work from home culture has visible psychological impact on all kinds of employees, professionals and workers at all levels. Both, the mental well-being as well as the physical health of the people who work have been adversely affected. Limited mobility, confined spaces, lack of social interaction, fear of job security and impending threat of the Covid-19 infection has done ample damage to all professionals.

With the sudden spread of the virus, the country is going through multiple lockdowns and, as mentioned, working from home is the ‘new normal’. The BCP had to be revised repeatedly to ensure all ACCian’s work from the comfort of their homes with ease. Team meetings took place on Microsoft Teams where every employee would connect and interact with their fellow colleagues.

There is no second thought that work from home is challenging. To overcome the issues of stress, fear and lack of recreation, ACC implemented various virtual gatherings, games and other activities to bring all of the employees together. This helped to relieve their stress and catalysed positive moods. The company was able to consult a therapist for managing the employee stress. The consultant did a commendable job by hosting individual and group sessions with the members and helped them overcome any difficulties they faced mentally.

As the world is on its road to recovery and successfully trying to get back on its feet, ACC has had a helping hand in maintaining and building relationships, keeping their employees motivated and making it possible to get work done remotely. There is no single solution to the pandemic we are dealing with, rather we are evolving our measures to deal with the multiple lockdowns. The experts at ACC have been trying their best to create a virtual infrastructure employing all possible virtual tools to keep the business at a reasonable pace and being benevolent towards their workforce alongside.
